NubAbility Athletics Coach

Kaleigh Flaker

“NubAbility gives kids the opportunity to embrace their uniqueness, and it gives our campers the opportunity to engage in sports that they wouldn’t have the opportunity to otherwise. I so am proud to be a part of this organization! ”

About Kaleigh

Limb Difference: Congenital

Type: Right Arm, Below Elbow

Sport: Cheer + Tumbling

Kaleigh was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Despite being born without two full arms, she developed a passion for gymnastics that later transferred to a love for cheerleading. When Kaleigh was sixteen years old, her parents discovered the NubAbility Athletics Foundation by chance, and they wanted their daughter to experience Nub Camp for the first time.

As a camper, Kaleigh showcased her skills as a cheerleading and talent for mentoring the younger girls at camp. NubAbility Athletics’ Coach Team recognized her passion for the sport and brought her on as a Junior Coach the next year. Since then, Kaleigh has become the Co-Head Cheer coach for NubAbility and continues to encourage campers to own their differences and compete in mainstream sports.
