Share Your Time, Change a Life

Volunteers Needed!

Volunteers are the driving force that makes our mission possible. Without the dedication of amazing people like you, we couldn’t provide high-quality camps that empower limb-different youth. And you don’t need to be an athlete to make an impact. In fact, our volunteer coaches are exclusively amputee athletes. (If you’re a limb-different athlete, learn more about coaching opportunities here.)

We’re searching for passionate individuals ready to pitch in and create something truly magical. We’re looking for you!

What to Expect

Volunteering at NubAbility

All of our volunteer roles are based at our headquarters in Du Quoin, IL, with the greatest need during the weeks leading up to and during our annual All Sports Camp each July. It takes over 200 dedicated volunteers to make this transformative camp possible. However, there are also plenty of opportunities to lend a hand year-round.

Group and Individual Opportunities

We welcome both individuals and groups, making volunteering with NubAbility a perfect fit for church groups, youth organizations, and community clubs. If you’re 14 or younger, don’t worry—you can still volunteer as long as you’re accompanied by an adult. Want your group to stay together while volunteering? Just let us know—we’ll make it happen!

Flexible Scheduling

We work with your availability. Pick the day, time, and area where you’d like to contribute. With over 25 roles to choose from—like assisting with parties, taking photos, or keeping campers hydrated in the July heat—there’s something for everyone.

Employer Matching and Verified Hours

We’re happy to provide documentation of your volunteer hours for schools or employers. Plus, many companies offer volunteerism matching grants—ask your employer how your hours can do even more good.

YOU Make it Possible

Year-Round Volunteer Needs

Some of our ongoing opportunities include:

  • Assisting with camp preparations, including packing equipment and
 assembling camper swag bags.
  • Helping with mailings.
  • Inventorying and organizing our sports equipment and NubShop
 merchandise.

Do you have a special skill that you would like to put to work for NubAbility ? Let us know! With a two-person staff, we’re always eager for additional help to better serve limb-different kids.
